Innovation is where opportunities lie and
one of the best ways to be an innovator is to partner with a company
that makes innovation a priority.
The Recipe Company (Woodstock, NY) food product designers and
cookbook authors, create new products for both the home entertaining
and food service industries.
“We take a non-traditional brainstorming approach to identify
new products for these markets, says Marti Ladd, President. Call
it consumer archeology. “History adds a wonderful dimension
to our products.”
The Recipe Company is always looking to the past and updating
for today’s market. “We generate great products by
being so nostalgic!” Their recent partnering with Boston
Warehouse Trading Corporation (BWTC), Norwood, MA, an industry
leader in creative ideas for home entertaining, brings an updated
version of “ Grandma’s recipe box jam-packed with
great food ideas” to the giftware market. The Recipe Company
created the stylish series of recipe cards with it’s trendy
packaging and entitled it “ The Recipe Deck”. It is
a cookbook made for gift-giving and BWTC had the manufacturing
capabilites and distribution channels to launch the product nation-wide.
The series numbers nine products which include recipe collections,
theme menus and entertaining tips in categories ranging from Latin
Fusion to Brunch; Ice Cream Desserts to Potluck.
Their signature line of stationery and stickers for scrapebooks
will be published by Paperhouse Productions, Woodstock, NY, in
2005. The line features retro graphics reminiscent of a vintage
kitchen – perfect for consumers who scrapebook their families
heirloom recipes.
“We create great new product concepts, formulate our own
recipes and prototype everything in-house,” adds John Gremer,
v.p. of marketing. “Before we develop an idea submission
and samples for a prospective licencee or co-manufacturer, we
make sure that all the ideas have market potential, and that they
are realistic ideas from a manufacturing perspective.”
